When we originally discussed the honeymoon, we both immediately agreed on a cruise to the Caribbean. The fiance has been on several and thinks they're fantastic. I've never cruised before, but I was sold! And so cruise we would.
Or maybe not. A few days ago one of the fiance's coworkers suggested an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica that he went to last year with his wife and said that it was completely wonderful. The site for the resort is here.
Now we are torn. We have absolutely NO idea which of the two we would rather do. Please weigh in. What are your thoughts? Cruise or all -inclusive resort?
Hi - I just came via weddingbee.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 cents: I personally would pick the resort, due to cost. I have only been on one cruise before, but it felt like there was a charge every time you turned around. The huge plus is that you get to see more than one place in your week. The cruise I did was in the Caribbean and it was definitely fun. The all inclusives are much more affordable (generally you can do a ton of activities for free). I assume that you will be enjoying spending time with your new spouse, so the location will be secondary.
I completely agree with that last sentence and that is why I'm leaning towards a resort. I want to be able to just relax and enjoy time with him. I don't want to be on a cruise worried about keeping a tight schedule or getting left behind at a port. I've never been on a cruise, so I don't know if those are legitimate concerns. I guess what it comes down too if I don't feel like we can truly relax if we have a schedule to keep.
